Three Rads for the new build

Hi all,

I ordered an M8 from caselabs over the weekend (Jim was very helpful; thanks Tom for the review-I'd never have know they were out there.).

anyway...I'm in theoretical loop mode now. I will have 3 rads in it to stary-more to follow if I can. Two loops, one rad for cpu, rest for my two 6970s. Every rad will exhaust cool air, and I'll have enough room to do push/pull w/ one side shrouded on at least 2 of the rads. Of course I'll have fan controllers and can turn fans up and down. But with that many rads won't 3 SR-1s be enough for cool n' quiet?? Do I throw a GTX extreme into the mix or 2?

What do y'all think?

are you talking 3 360 rads? Or 3 120 rads? If the 3 thats weird but better. No reason to have two 360 rads for just 2 6970s... I thought i went over kill... But a good push pull config with a single 360 rad will be enough to supply a cpu and two 6970s. But hey your money xD

3 360s.

Dunno how that part didn't make it into the post^^

if'n it were mine I'd do one for the cpu and one each for the gpu's since ya want to use stoves for gpu's this should tame them down to say toasters lol . But will like to see the build log as ya go.

I have one Koolance dual 120mm RAD and it cools my 6990. If it can cool that one of them will be MORE than enough to cool two separate 6970s.

The plan all along was to have one loop through one rad on the cpu and the gpu loop through the other two rads. If I find a way to mount more rad I will. I'm not worried about cooling (even with two toasters)but I want to run fans as low possible as (1k rpm max?)and still achieve good cooling. I will have enough room to run push/pull with one shroud on two of the rads, the third I'm not positive on. Originally I thought a low fpi rad would be great, better than something like a GTX 360. I guess my real question is; is it a waste to run fans in push/pull on SR1's.

I've spent some time thinking about the loop and until I see my case it will be something like this: CPU rad 1 in roof of mobo side, gpu rads 2 and 3 on the PSU side. Mb I run 2 360 GTX in push/pull and one SR1 in push-we'll see...but yes, a build log will follow when me case gets here so keep your pants on^^
