Thoughts on Resident Evil 6

Just got through the tutorial so far unimpressed.. No DX11? LOL RE 5 had DX10 at least :lol:

Game play has been smooth sailing at 1600p maxed out.

Just the the start of it so far is leading me to believe this is the worst Resident Evil game ever...

one more important point, Looks nowhere near the level of detail we saw in the benchmark vid Tom posted massively disappointed. Biggest kick in the nads was seeing all those fancy lighting affects, Lead me to believe we were getting a DX11 RE6

its made by CRAPCOM what did you expect and i bet it still has the Di$K Locked Content, i will never buy another CRAPCOM product after the fooked over a ton of gamers last year with this + tekken and Super STreetfighter.....

DMC: Devil May Cry was amazing.

Best single player game I have played in a real long time. It was a DX9 game but still gorgeous and it included a HD texture pack.

oh btw forgot to mention I had to force externally FXAA and SMAA because the jaggies were so horrendous in some instances. Maybe I'll upload some more crap shots with no in game AA or External AA for the lulz.

RE5 looked better. They've probably lowered the requirements to cater for more systems.

As a massive Resident Evil fan, since playing the first RE game back when I was 13, Resident Evil 6 makes me sad

The graphics aren't too bad, RE will always be just a console port on PC, same as all CAPCOM games. With a little tweaking with SweetFX you can get it looking better than it does though.

As for the gameplay... WTF? all dem godamn quick time events ruin the flow.
If it wasn't for those the game would actually be a hell of a lot better.

So far i've only played the first 4 chapters of Leon's campaign, so i've still got a lot of the game to do before I can decide whether it's a total fail or not.

One a positive note though, Resident Evil Revelations, that was released on the 3DS is being remade for consoles and PC. It's supposed to be more like the good old Resident Evil, survival horror style and not an action type game with quick time events.

I agree with the above RE 5 was a beautiful game on console and PC how can they have lowered there standards so much =s..

Perhaps it was rushed out the door with the incoming announcement's of the PS4 and xbawx 720.
