A little side project of mine, pimping out my rad.

King of cool after sanding down the side walls and cleaning the fins out. Dont have a proper "before" shot, but it looked how you'd expect a 2nd hand PA to look like (IE not great):

Again I forgot to take any pics of it once the brass end tanks were sanded, truth be told I was half tempted to polish it all up as the gun metal grey and bronze colour scheme looked shweet, but the next step after that was optimus prime time:

3 coats was enough for a nice even finish, but white aint what i'm going for.... on with the metallic blue!

1 coat in and curse the heavens my small can ran out!

Gonna grab another can tomorrow and get the next couple of coats on, get it all nice and clear coat it up ready for when it goes in a rig. :D

And yes, I AM spraying on the toilet.... I was kicked out the kitchen. >.<

Looks good so far.

I just know that if i'd have attempted spraying like that indoors, everything else would have been covered in paint.

Man, you have no idea. half the bathroom is covered in a blue dust film.... the mother certainly wasn't happy. :P

Anyways, she's all dressed up and ready to party:

They are Silverstone SusCool's, I think they're rated at 44CFM but they are silent. Come with a temp sensor probe aswell so can automatically adjust RPM on their own.

Nice finish, what paint did you use out of interest? I'd like to do mine white :)

Plasti-Kote "Projekt Paint" Super Enamel. Standard white primer, Metallic Blue main and acrylic clear coat over the top. ;)

I love that radiator!!! and to get a finish like that with plasti-kote I salute you!!!

Cheers mate, the paint was surprisingly easy... sanding down the old finish was the hard part. :S

Yer, the sanding takes ages!

I find the best way to paint is to do light coats but a few of them, because the paint doesnt run as much.

It looks brilliant, well done!
