Picked up an i7 950 on sale the day after Xmas, couldn't pass up a sealed retail box 950 for $200. It's probably about half way through it's second -bigadv WU. And of course the first one was a 2684

Thats an awesome deal Microcenter in the US has 950's for 229 thinking of overhauling my parents pc for them and going with a second i7 rig as the NH-D14 that I stole on Christmas eve for $49.99 CDN needs a more productive home than just a 1090T

Went cheap form the Egg and got a P6X58D Premium open box for $199 (it came with everything except manual and CD

Bad thing is I had to buy a board, cooler and some mem to go with it, already had a PSU and a couple of GPU2 cards to finish it.

The Xeons won't be folding much longer unfortunately. I'll be taking one down in probably two weeks to do some Hyper-V testing for the deployment. I tried smuggling one under my coat and out the door, but at ~80lbs and being a 2U rack server it didn't quite fit.

It's like an overclocked CPU or GPU, performs better with increased airflow. Get too cold though, and it suffers from the cold bug just like a CPU!
