The Redline @ OC3D milestone thread !

At those points that must be the classic client, to run -smp clients you must put -smp in the start line and have equipment capable of running

A3 WU's and completing them in a timely fashion to achieve bonus points.

Mind you the bonus is only applied after 10 successfully completed units, 80% of them completed on time before the bonus is applied. To participate in the bonus program you must acquire a passkey from Stanford, see the guide section in the Redline Folding @ OC3D -98860.

Hope this helps clear that up

Any questions, just post them and someone will help.

Guess I won't be running that then. I really doubt that by equipment is capable enough.

Just leave things as they are and contribute with the classic client, contributing is the important thing. Whatever you can contribute to Stanford and the Team is appreciated by both parties!!! We are just happy to have you participate!!!

How much are the bonus points worth? I have done over 10 SMP WU all on time but did not bother with a passkey, if it makes a big difference I will set it up.

Thanks mate.

I've just woken up! Must have needed that sleep.

Anyways I'm feeling much more awake so I'm back to planning this dedicated folding rig properly. I'll open a proper thread when I know exactly what I'm doing.

I've decided to go down the AMD route as it works out as more PPD for the £ and as I am on a very limited budget that's the way I'm going to have to keep it.

If I had a decent income I would be building a rack right now and ordering some rackmount cases XD, but sadly I just haven't got enough money.

Maybe once I leave Uni and get a decent job. As I don't like clubbing, all the money my mates are spending on that I'm spending on computers XD

The bonus points are related to how fast you complete the WU, the faster it is completed the more points are awarded. SMP wu's without the passkey are only awarded the stated points.

To qualify for the bonus point program ten A3 or -bigadv WU's must be returned on time with a an 80% success rate and with the same passkey. As far as I know WU's completed without a passkey do not count toward the bonus point requirements.

If you are planning on running -bigadv you would want to run ten A3's first to qualify then start the -bigadv.

I definately need to set my passkey up as I complete a 6050 in less than 12 hrs.

Is there a way to do it without uninstalling or do I need to do a complete re install?

Cheers Sounds simple enough, just gonna let this WU finish first before setting it up

If you set it up now you will probably have it count as one of your ten......

As blah said run -configonly type in the passkey, restart the client and you should be good.

Turns out the linux client I've been using the last few days was only accepting small jobs. I installed using a script someone else wrote that only prompted for a name , team and passkey.

Guess I'll write my own script for next time

Ran it with the -configureonly switch and now have got a 194 point WU rather than a 69pt one.

Better than nothing I suppose.

ATM linux is not supported on -bigadv, not sure on the other SMP WU's
