The PS4 is set to surpass the PS3's lifetime sales

Yeah but with the addition of the VR stuff, I think that gave the PS4 a tiny bit of a kick. It will be interesting to see what (if anything) MS does with VR on their consoles. It's a niche thing, but SkyrimVR appears to be quite the hit (no shock there).

Hey, it's already surpassed WiiU sales LOL. Love my PS4, only problem is finding the time to use it. Still have Horizon, Last of Us Remastered, and RE7 to play. Shadow of the Colossus is on it's way, then God of War 4 in April.

Surely the Switch is winning..? :D

While the Switch has been hugely popular it is hard to beat the head start that the PS4 has had, though the Switch could catch up in time.

TBH I really want a Switch, but I need to get more time to play games to justify the cost.

Yeah, I love my PS4 too, though I also love my Wii U. Can't bet Nintendo for party games like Smash Bros, Mario Kart etc.

The Switch is a great system. I bought it at launch and love Mario Odyssey. MK8 is good, my kids love it. We have it on WiiU too so it's nothing new though. Zelda: BoTW is a steaming pile. I really don't get the acclaim for this game and I'm a huge Zelda fan.

I do think Nintendo has the hardware down, but their accessories are hugely overpriced and $80 for Labo (cardboard) is an absolute joke. Time will tell if it's all remakes on the system and if it will be popular with 3rd party developers.

I looked at the Switch the other day. Wanted one but I can buy a PS4 Pro for the same price.

I might buy a DS2 though for NSMB, NSMB 2 and Mario 3D Land. Not played a Mario game in years.

On the topic of the Switch, I will also say that its purely dependant on what games you like. The PS4 has a far larger and wider library which is obviously a given considering its time on the market. Dont get me wrong, I've had my Switch since day one as well and I absolutely love it, but other than the main Nintendo IPs, a handful of third party IPs (More than the Wii U by a mile), you're left with indies and JRPGs which I love but won't appeal to a wider audience. If the Switch really is to succeed and keep its momentum, it will need stuff like Call of Duty, Fifa 19 and all those games

Hmm dunno man. 360 was the clear winner that round.

No. Ps3 outsold Xbox.

Both were very competitive, but Sony as always has better exclusives. Every exclusive after Halo 3 for Xbox has been meh. Forza was good but it's still the same thing over and over again with little difference.
