Not surprised. Even the used market AMD CPUs are holding onto their resale value. Very high demand, especially the X3D versions.

AMD struck gold with X3D. It will be interesting to see how Intel's next-gen stuff works. Nova Lake needs to do well.

I don't like seeing either side dominate TBH. I want both AMD and Intel to be doing their best work. I don't want AMD to become complacent.

Because they don't make you buy a new socket every generation and price to performance isn't horrific. Now if only AMD could do the same to Nvidia as far as GPUs are concerned

They don't know how. We've seen it again with the 9070 series. They genuinely thought that they can price those cards at Nvidia -$50 AGAIN. They changed the pricing at the last minute.

Everyone other than AMD seems to know that they have to lower their GPU price considerably compared to Nvidia. Like, at least €150. It's a lesson they'll never learn. I ended up buying the RTX 5070 Ti because it was priced literally 50 euros more than the RX 9070 XT in my country. At this point AMD's GPU division deserves to fail.

I disagree with this. AMD's RDNA 4 stuff is selling very, very well all things considered and is better value than Nvidia's in many lands. AMD are no longer as far behind in terms of features and may even have better drivers this generation. Just because AMD are not stealing the show does not mean they deserve to fail. I don't see why we have to look at things in extremes.

Yes it makes no sense to want them to fail. Advanced node lithography is extremely expensive and AMD took a loss on the initial launch just to undercut Nvidia a little more and so their partners could make any sort of money (if they don't they go under). The 9070xt is a great value but it's obviously less value than the 9070. But that's always been the case. The top end is rarely the better value card.

Currently the 9070 is one of the best cards for the money you can get. I don't see why we should want them to fail right when they start getting on track.

Also, the 9070 and 9060XT are the first GPUs from AMD that truly tickle my fancy and make me want to upgrade. I've waited for ages to feel that way.

I have a 3070ti and honestly the 9060xt is essentially dead even performance with it. But it has 16GB. I can trade/sell my 3070ti and get the 9060xt for about $100. I've almost pulled the trigger multiple times lol

It's truly a fantastic card for the money. I'd love the 9070 over it but it's just way to far out of my budget personally.
