Nice! That's a lot of CPU's you've gotten your hands on!

Unfortunately dimms got wet and the board refuses to do much in single channel. Going to come back to this.

At least it takes the high voltage which is a plus for next time

So I had one of these boards ages ago and knew it was pretty good but I needed a board with a strong htt for something in a few weeks

: so biostar sent me another

While I was updating the bios I figured I would give this new 705e a quick spin and check all is well with the mobo.

Couldn't go over 1.4 cpu-nb volts which is a bummer on this new bios but it's all good.

If you think this tiny board looks silly on my big techbench wait till you see it with a pot and a 5870

I think a lot of you know I've been through a ridiculous amount of amd cpu's but I have never had a good unlocker

Until I hit F6 on startup today

Quad core for 40 notes not bad eh!

Anyway, thought I'd make a post because I'm well chuffed with this board and my uber cheap quad

This is just the prelims, will post some proper numbers and a shiny gold cup or 2 soon enough

Thankyou biostar for this crazy little board

air cooling

My motherboard is balls and doesn't support overvolting phenoms

My link

Stabile prime small, large and blend for 1 hour and 51C max using Noctua NH-D14

My link

4.0Ghz-4.1Ghz sucked up a LOT of power to be stable. 1 hour prime 95 small, large and blend stable, 54C max

Thumbs up for Noctua making it possible to go above 4.0Ghz on air....

PS: I still had some room to go for 4.2Ghz, but that would mean 1.65v or in that area....thats too much for daily use PC....or is it? XD

Maybe i will crank it up some more, till it cant go anymore....one day....

I finally got my Phenom II 1090t BE to overclock stable under LinX at 4Ghz!

Test run: LinX 3x10m / 3x15m. GFLOPS AVG 68.2

Temp max: 56c

vCore max: 1.52v

It's about as stable as nitroglycerin... but I got the system to POST-BIOS-OS at 4.4Ghz before it BSOD'ed at the login screen. I didn't go much further with the volts/temps then where I had it- but I'm sure some more tweaking could get it to stay running at least for a while under low-stress. It may be water-cooled but I'd like to keep this chip for a while.
