The *new* Lian Li PC7077

This is going to be one of the new cases available for the Storm SLI - its a fantastic partially new design, using 120mm fans along with the 80's - with the primary focus on internal space! It's a really nice looking case, very well built and solid.

On to the pics. This model has been anodised and polished, finished with EP-UK UltraGlow in Piano Black. This will be the basis of the Storm system, which is available in a variety of colours and finishes.

As you can see from above, we are using a totally custom window panel, with smoked black perspex for that extra special effect. The Dual bayres fits comfortably in the front of the case, with loads of bays spare!

You get the obligatory Vantec Nexus floppy controller as standard issue, controlling the 3 x high performance, low noise 120mm fans on the rad. Notice the fab standard issue silver power switch.

A close-up of the lower front panel - notice the new design, fresh from Lian Li. The slightly inset controller adds to the aesthetics. Standard issue Stealth bezel for the optical drive. Hard drive and Power LED attract your attention. A 120mm fan sucks cool air over the hard drive caddy. Danger Den dual bayres, feeding the watercooling loop. You can really notice the Piano black finish!

Precisely cut 120mm blowholes for the Thermochill PA 120.3 rad in the top panel.

A shot from the rear showing you just how flexible this case will be when it comes to watercooling refinements. Plenty of room for all the parts! Notice the 120m exhaust at the top rear. You can either have this sucking air out (as in this photo) or blowing extra cool air over the rad!

It is a very nice case isnt it - I really do like the Lian Li design over anything else on the market. Especially when I've finished modifying them.

That is a big case which is why i cant use them, i dont have the space, but i have to say I LOVE the piano black finish, really looks awesome.

Only thing i dont like about the case is that it still uses 80mm exhausts, i would prefer 120mms all round.

What colour liquid are you putting in the loop? Could you get a smoked finish on the Bayres?

That will be a stunning system, please can we have more pics, i like to dream

I agree regards the 80mm exhausts but it is nice to have the option with this model - the Lian Li G70 will remedy that once and for all though. I will begin work on one of those tomorrow.

Mate i already asked phil this, he even dis-assembleed a v2000 to see if it can be done, now it can be done but i think phil will tell u as he told me, if he was to do it you put it back together as its a bugger to re-put back to gether and also due to the v series design the case comes apart in two L sections, best idea is powder coating!!

Love the work phil, not sure if i like the idea of keeping 80's at the back, shame they didnt use 92's. Thats one hell of a job your doing with that, damn i wish i could afford one. (lowly student, can't even afford to go on the extended drinking sessions)

The V series is a pain in the backside to do as the rear does not disconnect from the base the front is do-able but then the rear and base is a lot harder to pull apart the whole case has loads of rivets and once pulled apart may not go back together
