I genuinely think they missed out the "Research" step in their design process. Look at MSI's Gaming stuff. It's (pretty much) the same as their other parts, just with some subtle* changes. Same for the ROG motherboards, they're subtle* with branding. The colours of the Corsair Gaming logo stick out like a phallus in a church.
Then shape. We all know of the tramp-stamp analogy, but just look at some of the other gaming peripheral manufacturers. Steelseries' logo isn't outlandish. Neither is Logitech's G logo or Cooler Master's! Razer's logo does push out the boat, but it's in-fitting and doesn't look like a damn tramp-stamp.
Gamers want minimal, gamers want some damn class. Look at the peripherals all of these companies sell. Do they have bright out-of-place lines and tribal curves? No.
And as far as the LTT video goes, it's a god damn duck. Why would you NOT want that on your keyboard. Especially the Ducky Mini I'm after for college.
*Subtle colour. Red & Black is a fantastic, if safe, scheme. ROG's logo itself, especially the way it looks on their GPUs, isn't my favourite I have to say. It's still very nice, but it wouldn't be my first choice in a system.
