It doesn't fully explain it. What if I just don't wanna use the executions? say the execution button appears do I wait for it to go away or can I mash some buttons and kill the guy without slow mo.

If you keep slashing instead of timing it right then a QTE won't appear. Kind of like Assassins creed.. if you time it right you do a combo move but otherwise you can just keep attacking... an easy way to fix all this is to have it as an option and the ability to turn on or off for any console/pc.
