The ASUS RTX 3080 Noctua Edition is BIG

They already have their Chromax line, which is a lot more popular than their poop brown and vomit tan colour theme. Why not just make this all greyish/black instead and use their Chromax NF-A12x25 instead?... Would be a MUCH better looking GPU overall and have a lot more appeal to many users.

How do you know they are more popular? Where's the data?

I for one don't care what it looks like. The card is face down. Won't see it. Regardless I have their brown fans and love how quiet they are even at 100%

Seeing as more and more people are waiting for Chromax products from Noctua + seeing as more builds use their Chromax over their original colour scheme says enough. Not that it's technically "data", everything doesn't have data that way.

Not everyone uses a card facing down, many builds today have their cards vertically. Fair enough, looks are subjective.
Although I believe that most people would prefer to have that quietness, meanwhile having an all black fan instead of colours that doesn't go well with pretty much any other component on the market, that isn't specifically designed with Noctua's colours in mind.

im pretty sure that if "chromax" was indeed more popular, they would abandon their brown theme. Yet since the brown continues to be dominant, you comments on the black/grey being more popular is a little inaccurate.

And im pretty sure (guessing here) that the mainstream user still builds a case with zero care on aesthetics, having no PC case window, no WC, no interest in tidiness inside and chooses whatever they can get their hands on, or has no worry on theme/colour of components.

Why would a company simply abandon their original products, that existed on the market for many years before their Chromax line even was announced. That doesn't make sense?...

Of course they will be a lot more "popular" in that regard, seeing as they've been available for far longer... But looking today, at the average builder, most use their Chromax fans, atleast that's what I've seen.

Then other builds, like servers etc might use their older fans due to people might not care if they are black or not, if they most likely won't see them anyway.

If that's accurate or not, I don't know nor really care. Just what I've acknowledged when looking around. Doesn't have to mean it's correct.

A little late if you ask me, this should have released on the 12GB model. That, or at least announce it will be available on both 10GB and 12GB models.
