Honestly at that price point I'd just save up a little more and get a 5090 with vastly better performance.

Yeah, but it's often been the case. Not so much in recent years when Nvidia's top product is so absurdly expensive and is so much more powerful. But it used to be common to find 1080's only a few quid less than a 1080Ti just because of the cooler and overclocking headroom.
