The AMD GPU?

COOL! :eek:

AMD= :worship:

NVIDIA= :worship:

Which one??

Wonder how much this baby will cost?

I find it amusing that they say it has SIXTEEN pixel pipelines and how amazing that is.

The 6800GT and 6800 Ultra both have that many.. The X800XT, X800XL, X800XT PE, X850XT and X850XT PE have that many.. What are they on about?

I don't care how good the card is, I'm sticking with nVidia :)

Now I read this that the GPU itself has 16 pipelines onchip - rather than on the PCB.

Maybe I'm wrong.

This would be fast if it was the case.

But I agree - 16 pipelines has my card! :D

ummmm omfg wow :)

FragTek luffs AMD :D

I for one will be jumping on this bandwagon as soon as the card is made available no matter the cost...

2gb of ram and 16 on-chip pipelines??? THAT'S TEH UBER S3X!!!

Glad it wasn't just me who read it like that.

Thats a hell of a GPU.

I may have to save right now. :D

When AMD does it, they go BIG... Big ups to AMD.

I wish I could give AMD some reps right now, lol.

Just buy the GPU then they'll be happy enough.

Hope the drivers get supported well for it. How would games play on it - would there be patches for that GPU?

I would imagine it'd use the same software architecture as current nVidia and ATi cards so that theyre wouldnt be any need for "additional" support, which would ultimately kill the card.

Just hope they don't cost the earth (though I'm sure Frag can afford that!!)

Seriously I hope they price it right and they may have one nvidia convert right here (once I see the benches and real-life gains) :yumyum:

If I had to take a stab at a price right now... I'd say $800-900.

Hmmmm....do I wanna save for that.

Well I dunno - I have AGP at the moment and it runs fast.

Maybe that's a next year thing for me. ;)
