Yeah, I think I just linked that one (or a similar page). The PSU is made by Seasonic which is pretty much the best OEM out there. It would be a good purchase
Which will be better. Thermaltake is very cheap than XFX.
But i am not too rich to buy very good quality PSU.
Somebody say, like you my friend:
"No, just no. Never buy anything from Thermaltake." Listen to this really?
I'm not very rich either, but if you save money by buying a cheap low-quality power supply, it might die quickly and in some cases even take the rest of your computer with it, and at such a moment you'll regret not spending a tiny bit more on a PSU
Last time i was had shutdown problem only in 3dmark 13 ICE STORM demo. Pc was shutting down and automatically restarting.
I RMA Lightning 770 , and today they accepted!. So propably that was card issue not PSU. But who knows?
3 days and i go to shop to take back new card Lighting 770. But now what to do?
Even then, sell my Be Quiet Dark Power BQT P7 PRO 1000W and buy XFX P1-750X-XXB9 because its new ??
As far as I know, single 12v rail units tend to work better...
The Seasonic unit Looz posted is very good, but the XFX will work fine though it's a bit overkill.
both the therlmatake sp-750 and corsair cx are based on the same PUG-B platform from CWT...the thing is that the cx 750 is the lower cost one.it uses worse primary cap rated 85C(thermaltake 105C),lower quality secondary cap from capxon.thermaltake panasonic primary ,NCC secondary (japanese caps).and the therlmaltake use a better 2BB fan ,corsair CX use sleeve bearing fan.
Can i plug different power cables to GPU? One connector from PCIE cable of PSU ( for good ) , and second connector from plugged by me PCIE cable of back PSU? Is this ok too? No matter what i choose way ?
Lets ask Tom about his experiences with OCZ shall we (psus that caught on fire)? I've never had an OCZ product that has lasted more than a few months and while some of the OEM's that OCZ use in their power supplies have good rep I (and many people on this forum) still don't trust them. Good luck with dealing with their RMA team as well. Thermaltacky is also hated on this forum for a reason so it was more of a blanket statement about them in general. If their power supplies are anything like the other products they made they will a) be made poorly b) have some dumb design fault c)not cope with heat. Thermaltake promise much but deliver little.
Best go with Antec/seasonic/corsair/silverstone etc.
Can i plug to GPU 2x8pin power connectors from two different cables? I mean one from back of PSU ( cable that i added manually - modular ) and second from cable that are forever in PSU.
Plugging both the modular PEG cable and non modular PEG cable that is fixed onto the PSU is ok too? Both cables are supplying power from the same +12v rail?
