They have killed one CPU. They were officially out, as were Spain, but it seems they now have another cpu.

Did Tom call and tell you that or are you going off what trolls in the chat are saying.

They just updated with 120k :/

Bit of a nightmare yesterday with the board or a combination of the mobo and CPU. The mem wouldn't run at stock settings at 2133 so had to run at 1866 strap all day. That alone cost us 4secs in super pi. Our CPU won't post past 5.2 on the multi or multi and bclk combo. Tried air and ln2 same result.

To add to the headache, our board just would booth into windows even at 5 sometimes. It could be 15mins before we see the OS again so we didn't have the time we liked to mess with the VGA. Most we got on the time allowed was 1200/2450. However running 3D03 at 5.1 becuase if the boot issue cost us so much points.

The boards been working fine at home all the way up to 5.6 on air. Whether the board took a knock in flight or something had gone pop IDK. Looking to test the replacement today to see if the mem runs at 2133 and if we pass 5.2. If it does were rolling with that board instead.

Never had such a bad CPU. 5.2 can't be the limit. Got to be the board esp with the issues we had from start to finish. In an ideal world of having a chip I'm used to running 5.6+ we should be in the top 7 not rock bottom from 13th in the first to a shocking 15th in the second round.

Feel so dejected but we must plug on. If its not the board and is the CPU then were screwed. 5.2 is the worst I've ever got out of a 2600K and typical it had to be at flipping MOA.

Just not wjat you need at such a critical time. Hope you have more luck with the replacement - Come on the UK!!!

Well its over =(

It started well but ran into similar issues. We swapped boards and the mem divider at 2133 workd finally. Could of done with that first round. No worries.

However it was our CPU holding us back. Wouldn't go any higher than 5.2 on both boards. Even at 5.1 & 5ghz it would freeze before loading windows a lot of the time. It didn't as much matter in 3d 11 today but cost us badly yesterday with the more CPU benchmarks.

GPU clocking was a little better today as we had time to spend on it more than wasting time yesterday with the CPU setbacks. However it started well but we struggled to get more than 1200 3d stable.

Its a shame really. If our CPU wasn't a dog we would of done much better yesterday.

At least you got the chance to participate and you did the best you could with what you had

Fingers crossed for better luck next year.

Yea it's a shame really. What happened with the Ukraine? Next on the list is a team benching session

, so chin up guys, you did well with the set backs and problems.

Such a shame you had bad luck with the hardware, but hey at least you got to go, and have some fun (well hopefully that is

)
