PSU Corsair 1200w or the Corsair Platinum 1500w? If there is a better PSU please recommend one.

16 GB (4GB x 4) CL9-11-10-28 1.65v 40mm Tall

A third fan to the D-14 improved cooling by 1c can be added

D-14 clearance fan clips may hit the back of the GPU Can Heat shrink if required. **** Note*** will use a reference card in the first PCIe x 16 channel for a little more clearance.

Clock for Clock LGA 1150 is faster do not want to De Lid not weak at heart and will if required. Strongly considering this route for the 5th gen up CPU and DDR-4.

LGA 1150
M/Board: Gigabite GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK
CPU I-7 4790K will D-Lid if required
CPU Heat Sink NH-D15

D-15 clearance issues none. The D-15 will out perform the D-14 per reviews?

For Flight Simulator X is CPU bound. Hyper threading Yes SLI no
Primary purpose for this build FSX. Purchasing a new monitor and will purchase some newer Flight Sims. ROF Iron cross current there is some new flight sims.

GPUs EVGA GTX 780 Super Clocked Reference Cards. For Flight Simulator X a TI is not required.

Should purchase 2 GTX 780s for SLI when needed and no SLI for FSX?

SSD Drives Yes x 2 600 GIG each Please recommend a very good SSD they are not all created equal. Looking for top shelf based on quality, Tech Support and Read Write Times.
1 x 2TB SSD for back up.

Old Hard Drives:

4 x W.D. Velocity Raptors 300 Gig and a Black 2T.B. the 2 T.B

Would the Black 2TB Platter drive be better for back up and storage?
Please recommend a fail safe back up storage and software. Want multiple back ups for this computer.

Should a external hard drive be purchased for back up as well?

Monitor. Please my old monitor is a HP2710m. irt needs to be desperately replaced. Have zero knowledge about monitors other than reading on Nvidia web sight about stutters, shake and bake. Something Nvidia just came out with has to do with timing between the GPU and monitors flipping pages I am lost. Watch movies family videos looking for a top shelf monitor.

Planning on getting a DAC pre amp and Amp and 2.1 Speaker system. My concern. will a DAC read all sound files for flight sims, games, movies and home videos? Spend a lot of time listening to music on the computer. Sound quality is a must.

Head Phones:
Sennheizer PC 350

Want to purchase Sennhezer HD 600s

Logitech 5.1 is history.

Think that basically wraps it up and I want to thank you for your recommendations. Hardware listed my preferences please recommend different hardware or any improvements needed.

Have A Great Day

For starters don't go 2011 go 1150 and for cooling go with a H100i or H105 or similar as you will get better temps for your overclock, the 1200 and 1500 psu's are total overkill you only need an AX860i or RM850 and i wouldn't buy a Gigabyte board I'd go either an MSI Gaming 5or7 or an ASUS Ranger or the like and for a monitor the new ASUS G-sync monitor will do what you want no problem, for SSD's go the Samsung 840 evo's very good drives for the money or the new Corsair LX 850 gig drives.
The WD black will make a good backup drive as to software that I don't know enough about to recommend but don't worry someone else on here will be able to tell you, so for now hope this helps

For starters don't go 2011 go 1150

Have to agree Clock for clock the LGA 1150 is faster.

MSI Gaming 5or7 or an ASUS Ranger

Not familiar with either one of these mother boards. Seems like Asus tech support and RMA has gone down hill. Will take a hard look at the MSI Mother Boards.

you only need an AX860i or RM850

Correct how ever in about 14 months will be doing a custom water cooled loop. Do not want to have the computer moved half way around the world with a liquid cooled system. Plus have to import all of the cooling hardware plus import tax. liquid cooling is out of the question for the moment.

the new ASUS G-sync monitor

G-Synk couldn't remember blame it on old age. There is a BenQ dealer locally Asus mother boards yes no monitors. Will read up on both monitors considering a Dell?

for SSD's go the Samsung 840 evo's very good drives,
Do the Samsung SSD Evos have read they are degrading write and read times over time? been looking at the Pro Versions.
Corsair LX 850 gig
been my experience Corsair stands behind there product.
The WD black will make a good backup drive:
Makes since still looking for a external hard drive for back up that would be two back up drives.

Thank you for you for taking the time to read the post and making recommendations big help more research.
