Tablet as a 2nd monitor ?

Oh I see, misleading title mate. Tablets are usually touchscreen...

Not a misleading title at all, Read through the thread ;)

I was after a tablet at first but found out the size I wanted with the required ports doesn't exist yet so I have to go with a small monitor.

Nice find, I might have to look in to one of these. I've wanted a 2nd monitor but something like this would be a lost more cost effective for what I'd want to use it for.

Really, did you not see his signature? His siggy is in this thread.

Doesn't matter to be honest it was a thread from a while ago that turned into an "In joke" best keep the thread on topic :)

And by the way this monitor has now been ordered and will be with me in a few days, Looking forward to it :D

Curious to see how this works out for you. Report back so I know whether or not to get one for myself.

It's not the OS it's the price of Apple stuff i.e the hardware is stupidly overpriced for what it is but lets keep that to another thread and stay on topic.

It's in Maddens signature, Was about a rather lengthy thread some time ago :)

Thanks Dice, I didnt see this :D

How about this?

Adafruit sells an retina display with a displayport on it. You could use a displayport to HDMI adapter and use it that way. Im going to be buying one and attaching it to a lan party rig to use as a small monitor for gaming. Resolution is 2048x1536 and its a 9.7'' screen.

I was going to attach a pic but it wont let me since im a new user lol.
