Yeah overall last night we did well.
The cbble tactics are coming along now, but we do still need to practice them in a proper match.
Brief impressions....
Positives:
- Smoke and FB's were excellent! Really good use of them to push the enemy back and block off doors and entrances.
- Teamwork was better, but still room for improvement.
- Covering up when the bomb was down had improved slightly.
- Timing had improved. You managed to time your attack on the sites well, but we still need to work on awareness.
Negatives:
- Communication was poor. When I was playing vs the 5 of you, only a few occasions did people say where I was. This is really important that we improve this. On the D2 game, comms were improving, but we still need to give more information. You don't need to give a full blown account of what colour their socks are and if they are jumping or crouching lol, but we do need to call if we hear something, spot something, see a smoke go off, etc. I'll always call "smokes mid" and "possible steps" or "footsteps low B tunnels". Quick, sharp information that builds a picture of whats happening on the map.
- Covering up when the bomb was down. We did improve slightly but we're still running about a little too much. Yeah I'm going to be picky because I know whats needed to win rounds. Things like, when you've attacked the site, it was taking a LONG time for the bomb to go down. One round in fact it didn't even get planted! When it was down, I could hear people running about near the link door and just popped out and took people down. There is a fine line between covering the bomb and defending it and actually engaging the enemy. If you're in cover and you spot a CT trying to get into the site, call where they are, flash it if you have one and cover. More often than not, I took at least 3 people everytime when getting into the site. If you know where I'm coming from, call it lol!! Work as a team, cover as a team.
-Awareness. When I rotated in B on cbble, everyone was looking into the site and not one person looked across into the corner. I took out 3 people before someone called that I was in the corner.
-Positioning of the bomb. We're still planting in areas where the bomb is in cover. This obviously poses a threat as if they get into the site, we can't shoot them whilst they are diffusing. Don't be afraid also once that bomb is down in B to run a person back to the corridors and cover the site from there. If you do that, get the bomb down in front of a box. The same for A, get it down in an open space so it's easy to cover if they go for the diffuse.
Overall though lads, we're improving. It's going to take time, but we're moving in the right direction and the teamwork is getting there!
