LOG Match 3 - Monday 16th - cbble vs xT

Next LOG match is on cbble against the guys we played last monday. They are a good side so lets just see how many rounds we can get

We will have a practice on Sunday of we are all around, other than that i dont think we will get much in.

Hehe ye twas a great game. VERY close all the way through. I honestly didn't think I was going to be able to clutch it on the last round with only a mac10, but somehow i managed to dodge his bullets

I think this match deserves a bit more said about it to be honest.

we went into the match not expecting much, after losing previously on strike and dust2 to this team. admittedly we didnt do any training for cbble, and it was expected to be a case of getting as many rounds as we could.

we managed to win the CT half 8-7, which isnt really enough for such a CT biased map and expected to be locked down as T. this was the way it went initially, going down 3-0, but managed to pull it back to 3-3, and then take the lead 7-4. xT, fair play to them played brilliantly and then locked us down making it 7-7.

it went down to the last round, we needed to win to win the match, and if we lost we had to settle with a draw. for this round ill spell it out...

[Ins] called a normal tactic, so me and ins went towards B, and the rest of the team went towards A. through some fantastic damage done by ins, i folowed up and we managed to take down a couple of guys in B. The A guys rotated to B and we secured the site. All except one player....XMS who had the bomb and was still in A, with a mac10...

the conversation went soemthing like this...

Us; where are you

xms; in a, are we going to b?

us; yes, get here quick

xms; where? b? which one is that

us; big one, quick thrs only 30 seconds left

at this point, their guy in B took down 3 of us, leaving just xms on his own vs 2 guys

for some bizaare reason he went to A, on his own, with his mac10 and whilst we all skipped a heartbeat he managed to take down the A guy, leaving just the B guy to rotate. 9 seconds left on the clock and xms plants as the final guy comes through link...

jim pops out with his mac10, and we all stop breathing. somehow he manages to kill the guy and we celebrate, winning the game 16-14

i think we all agreed it was the best match we have played in, very tense and a big shoutout to the guys from xT who put up a great fight. looking forward to our next match on nuke, although i cant guarentee the same excitement

Lo lads nice match report, bit more detailed than mine

Was a cracker of a match, one of the best I've pld in for tension. I had to shout at my lot because they were ready to throw in the towel as you started getting on a roll as T's but we pulled it back to 7 - 7 and that last round was just amazing. Our man was inconsolable after he died but if it's possible to enjoy a defeat then know I did.
