SWTOR Beta - Class Choice

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone played Star Wars the Old Republic?

If so what class they chose and thoughts on that class.

I chose Jedi Consular and then went down the Jedi Sage route. I couldn't decide between the Sage and the Shadow.

It was a pretty good class, it gave you the ability to attack from long range and close range with some healing spells that were pretty naff until I started adding on some skill points onto the trees.

So yeah did anyone play it or know what class they are going to chose when they get it?

Played the beta for a couple of days (whilst they let me) and I chose the Sith Warrior (later went into Marauder)

Being a badass sith damage dealer is all kinds of awesome.

I originally wanted to be that class, but I just couldn't bring myself to the dark side

Thats actually one of the things I really like about TOR, you're not confined to the darkside/lightside based on your original choice; If you want to play as the repenting sith, you can, if you want to play a corrupted Jedi, you can do that too.

So, If what I know about the game is right, you can start off as a sith warrior but head down a lightside path

I didn't get in the BETA, but i am most likely going to play a Merc.

This is gonna be my 1st experience with a MMO along with a a few of my mates so please excuse my newbicity. if I wanna team up with my mates and do a quest (i assume thats how it works?), but say thay are "lightside" characters and im Dark side character, can we still work together on quests?

Yes, and if it is a choice where you get to choose between two answers, one of them is lightside the other one is dark, you get points for your intentions.

Played a Jedi Sentinal (level 19) and a Sith Assassin (level 11). Think i'll go down the Jedi Shadow route, as it's the copy class of the Sith Assassin since my friends that i'm going to play with all want to go Republic.

thanx buddy, but he was doing the quest with another sith. my question is if ive got a mate and who chooses "jedi route" say playing as jedi sentinal and i take the "sith route" playing as a sith asssasin, can we team up and do quests 2gether?

I think you can but only after you've left your starting area

That would defeat the purpose between factions, wouldn't it?
