ok as promised my thoughts so far on my new Auria EQ266A Black 26" 5ms WideScreen LCD Monitor w/Speakers 400 cd/m2 1000:1.

Finally got it mounted and started playing with it a tad. First off I was NOT impressed with its packaging as I took it from the UPS driver I felt it shift inside the box. I was like oh shite this aint good.

But I went ahead and set it up

shes looks intact and very dedent so far so I put her on the desk and fired her up.

so its time to mount her in position.

So far very impressed controls are easy to manipulate and easy to reach. Havent played with sound alot yet but not really expecting much from them not why I bought it. I got it because it was 1) 1920 x 1200 2) within my budget at 169.99 shipped. But I'll post more once my monsters are down for bed and I can test it gaming

and yes those are the monsters I refer to in the 1st pic

I should add a lil more on this purchase. I was currently using an AOC 24in 1920 x 1080 monitor I purchased 12/30/10 from Costco's (bulk buying place) for 149.99 they offer a 90day no question asked concierge service. So in all reality this 26inch Auria only cost me 20$ as I was able to return the 24 AOC this afternoon

I like my monitor up at eye level so I bought a 35 x 23 cork board and mounted the monitor to it and then mounted the cork board to the back of the desk. This is my new desk I just got last weekend. My old on had a solid back to it. So I had to get creative for this one. But I love the desk and the real estate it gave me over my old one. Plus my old one was dis-assembling itself weekly. And got another sweet deal on the desk at only 149$

ok the speakers blow chunks but I kinda imagined they would compared to my other ones. Which tbh aint all that great to start with so maybe tomorrow I'll do a lil speaker shopping and see if maybe I can find something that'll fit under the monitor like a sound bar type I have 3.25 inches to play with lol. But over all now that I've finally tweaked it to my likings color and contrast wise I'm liking it very much.

WOW I just played BF BC2 for about 45mins and it was a drastic change everything was so vivid and clear I am totally stonked by this monitor atm. only reason I stopped is lol I redid my oc the other night trying to lower the vcore a tad and well I guess it wasnt 100% stable and crashed. in a way I'm glad cause I came to post this and saw in my last pic where I was showing it wasnt as tight a fit as it looked I saw my ethernet cable was pinched between the cork board and shelf lol.

Anyway cant wait to see the diff in crysis

I wonder if it has a tv tuner, just curious. Doubtful, but the looks of the bezel sort of make it look like a tv.

yeah my thoughts as well but they have another model that looks identical but more $$$ that has a tuner. I think they used the same line just with or without tuner. And yes the bezel is quite larger but its ok for what I'm doing. I did notice one single stuck pixel yesterday but I'm hard pressed to find it today so far. I say stuck cause it was blue and not black which I assume is a dead one. Dont really know as this is the first one I have ever seen lol

nope its still there had to change color scheme to black to find it. Just shows ya how un-noticable it is lol.

yes it is and I am still gwaking at it daily lol. Its been an amazing find and works great. Been thru several monitors before this one and I am glad to say my search is over finally. Been playing all my games at 1920 x 1200 on high settings for all the eye candy

and getting great results. Just finally finished Crysis and now playing Warhead. and so far its great.
