Summers here at last ( A few years late!)

With the temps outside soaring, everyone seems to be getting into the summer mood. I am a lightweight when it comes to weather like this though, and just want to crawl into the shade and drink loads of ice-cold beer. I remember going on holiday abroad with all the lads a few years ago, to Benidorm, and I was the only one who came back the same colour as when we left I like the warmth, but when there is no breeze or it's muggy as it is now, I hate it.

I have been benching my rig, to get an idea of working temp ranges. I have noticed a few degrees rise in temps, but nothing major or worrying. Nows a good time to clean out all your fans and heatsinks if you haven't done it in a while. The warm weather places that little bit more strain on your rigs cooling efficiency, especially if the fans and heatsinks are clogged with dust.

Anyways, I recks I am off for a cold shower now

I decided to help out with a hay delivery.

Think it was something like 1000 bales. Had to drink like 4 litres. Hated it.

Money was ok though ;D

i'm all good for warmth, but being stuck in a office with about 25 consoles and tv's and about 15 pc's with no built in air con = not fun.

Went in the central transmission/playout area today (wall to wall rows of 'servers') - it was like heaven, icy cool

Was thinking of setting up a desk in there, would have a nice bypass of the various hub-rooms too

Whom ever enjoys the muggyness needs to enjoy it whilst it's here. Think we all realize these days we get a week or so - then it's rain til next year. >.<

(I like that tho tbh. What I don't like is that they then complain of water shortages and same ole areas getting flooded - oh and btw ur water bill has gone up again)

Hayfever is extremely disruptive to me. Only occurs on somedays and doesn't on others, this is when NO medication is used at all.

It's about 28c in my room now.. all windows open.. door open.. and I'm in me cacks sweating my balls off.

I walked to Bristol City Centre to see the Banksy exhibition.. worth it though.. was sweating like a mule though.

Had Physical Education lessons today and damn was it hot.

That said this heat is causing it to struggle a bit.. It's meant to be able to get down to 17 degs but my room is bigger than it's designed for. Can get down to 20 when it's not too hot but now it's finding it hard to get the room below 24. Spose it's better than the 30 it was reading the air temp at earlier though

I am getting obsessed with the weather now, all due to a new config screen for my LCD mod on my project. As the weather was on my mind, due to sweating like a kebab on a hot spit, I decided to do a new screen which pulls info from the weather.com website, and shows the current weather conditions for my town. Here's a screenshot from a couple of minutes ago, looks like it's gonna be another scorcher!!

The info is updated very 5 minutes, and the temps have been rising steadily all day, looks like its miller time this avo

BTW, just noticed a coincidence, the news ticker is showing the heatwave headline too. I didn't mean to do that, deja vu or what??

I just weeded the front garden.. and my god.. the sweat was dripping off me literally.

Had my earphones in and my next door neighbour came out with an ice cold Stella for me.. man it was sweet. In doors now.. waiting for Mum to get some weed killer (might need some dipleted uranium to get rid of these weeds!).
