i had an update for razer comms, had to do a reboot, upon entering windows 7, aero had been disabled, error box opened saying ati driver is missing, and the keyboard and mouse didn't work, rebooted, keyboard/mouse works fine in bios, but don't work in safe mode... had to resort to reinstalling, got bare windows on and found i have a norton ghost backup from a couple of months back, first time ever to try and recover that way. lets hope. but what a stupid bugg

I don't see how windows could be blamed if razer comms was the start of the cause unless i'm missing something?

Either way though that really sucks to reinstall.

I'm blaming windows cos even if razer fafffed with the display driver. Why would the keyboard and mouse stop working?

A bug could have locked the system up... It's very easy to confuse software believe it or not, sometimes happens with Overclocking as well(but for different reasons of course).

Google only showed similar results from years ago, on Windowsxp machines.... Surley I'm not the only person who has had this problem

Skip the update and install the previous one? When newer update comes out then skip to that one.
