Stupid OC Question

okie i have a stupid question bout overclocking. i have MSI NF980-G65 coming back form RMA dept soon. i found out its safer to replace my questionable AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2 GHz with a brand new AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2 GHz. i have 4x1gb sticks of OCZ PC316000 2000mhz ram.

i found i can safely overclock the chip to 4.0ghz from a video form a tips person on youtube "AMD Phenom II X6 Overclocking Tutorial (NCIX Tech Tips #66)". acording to newegg.com page for my board u can oc memory "DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600/1800/2133 (OC)". i have a Cooler Master Hyper N520 CPU cooler.

my question is can i actually safely do this??? or should i keep them at stock settings???

As long as you keep the temperatures on the cpu down, and keep the voltage below 1.5V (ideally 1.45V or below), it should be fine. If the RAM says it supports up to 2000MHz, go for that, raise the BCLK to give 2000MHz on memory and 4.0 on the CPU, or just raise the processor multiplier to 20x to give 4.0GHz.

As long as the temps are below a certain level, everything should be peachy
