Strange PC problem

So, the past days I've been experiencing problems with my PC. It's been freezing for no reason, while i.e. only running Winamp or watching a movie or playing a game. I set all my BIOS-settings to stock, only leaving the memory timings and DRAM-frequency (1066 instead of 800, 1066 being the correct value). Then while still having these hangups, I set the DRAM-frequency to auto (800), thinking that this would fix the problem (timings still set manually), but earlier today the screen went black, like if there's no signal, and I rebooted. Now, the PC booted fine, until the Windows loading screen was over, it lost screen signal again and I rebooted (stupid me didn't wait to check if there was any windows-startup sound). So I'm wondering if it's the GFX-card(s) or maybe something else. Due to all parts only being a few months old, an RMA would be easy to fix, but it still bugs me, as I'm not able to locate the problem. Any suggestions as to what to do? And is there any diagnostics-program out there, that would be able to run a diag on every component?

Also recently, when OC'ed, the PC would hang up after 20-30 minutes while watching movies, first showing strange artifacts on the screen, then, when trying to restart VLC, it would freeze completely.

Memtest86 is your first stop. Make sure the ram is 100% by running that for a few hours.

Second port of call would be voltages on the PSU, make sure they're stable and within spec.

Well, memtest ran for 21 hours straight without a single problem, so I guess everything should be fine, but I'm starting to wonder if it could be the GFX-cards acting up, even though they should get sufficent cooling.

what os are you useing

also make sure that automaticaly restart isnt checked as this will allow you to see any BSOD'S
