Right,
now I am struggling choosing the hardware bois:
Firstly,
this article really got my attention and i am indeed concerning on buying the Asus Maximus III Formula.
I had a chat with Lee from Scan UK and i asked him if he could test the board before shipping it to me, regarding that i am living in brazil now, and it would be an incredible PITA in case i had a faulty board and had to RMA it, likewise with the Striker II Extreme which i had to RMA 3 TIMES

, yes that right!
Lee said that i would not be possible:
"Unfortunately we're not in a position to test hardware prior to shipping at this time of year. All of the goods are fresh stock and shouldn't prove troublesome. I completely appreciate that you're in a unique situation, however we do not have the facility to test goods prior to shipping."
Therefore i asked Lee if at least they could check the stock batch version, and that´s the reply:
"This is totally going to seem like we're being unhelpful, but your requests just cannot be met I'm afraid. Reason being is that we have mixed stock on the shelf from various suppliers, from varying batches. I have no way of guaranteeing a specific revision. These types of issues normally arise with new technology and it's only due to your situation that this would cause a problem, otherwise if the board were to fail you know that we would replace this for you. The last time we ordered any of these was the 16th Nov - these were delivered the following day but as I previously mentioned, I have mixed stock on the shelf and no way to guarantee what revision you would receive. Not all of our stock is kept nearby, often we'll dispatch from differing warehouses. This means that even if I did check a motherboard - the guys who pick and dispatch the orders are likely to choose an entirely different board."
Now what do i do?
Is it still safe to buy it, not knowing if the boards in stock comes from a newer batch?
Should i buy from somewhere else from someone who has a smaller shop and would be able to give a superior support?
What do you guys think?
...continuing: :yumyum:
Intel Core i7 860 2.8GHz Seems a good choice in case i go with the asus
now i am really struggling to choose memory kit, because i am not really sure what will i benefit the most
REMEMBERING that my focus
ain´t gaming at all.
My focus is to have a good motherboard that will enable me to setup a good workstation as well as be able to fold as much as possible when idle.
What would benefit me most?
XMP or DHX ???
What other memory should i really consider?
OCZ?
Any other suggestions???
Guys, please help me out brake up this nut! I am stuck
