Steam Issue

Hey fellow members,

got a bit of an issue here, i have just created a steam account and downloaded Team Fortress 2. I tried to add people but it don't let me, i get a message saying "You will be able to add friends after you have games in your steam account"

I'm 100% sure that Team Fortress 2 is a game and its in my account. But upon browsing Google, i have come across comments saying you have to a purchased game in your account to add friends and some are saying its a bug.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

can anyone recommend a cheap game to buy?

strange that m8. i didnt think you needed games to use steams friend function.

You do need atleast one game to use anything steam related, but i do no know why it wants you to buy one... But bastion is a great game

You need atleast 1 brought game on your steam list (free games dont count), if you add $4/£4/4 euro to your steam wallet through the man co store on tf2 then buy something from the store it should make the game the "full" version and allow you access to the friends list, or just look in the "specials" tab or at the daily deal and find something dirt cheap you might enjoy playing and buy that.

get the game of the year version of borderlands it 4.99 this weekend with all the expansions. the game is great fun as well. especially if you get some mates to geather.
