State of Decay 2 Co-op ?

Looking at getting SOD2 for me and a friend and was wondering if the co-op is full co-op so all people can chip into resources, Building bases etc... ?

It only works for the Host account, others can join and help you build and collect resources though. Bare in mind though if they die they loose their characters for their account too. Russler and Myself pretty much blitzed this game on release twice over it's fun but very short lived.
