Played 3 hours straight today. Only quit because I had to pick up my son. I took tomorrow off of work just so I can get more play time in. Blizzard really delivered on this one and I've only just brushed the surface of single player.
Not sure how it is in the US, but I'm a little miffed about the £45 RRP over here, that's PS3 game prices normally and retailers aren't straying a whole load below that, bringing PC games into dangerous territory price-wise. I'll still probably get though after I've completed the original to bring me up to speed again with the storyline.
With current exchange rates rates it's still only just under £40, which isn't great, when other games happily sell for £30 all day long. Maybe they're trying to reclaim some of the extra costs they spent in the long development of this game. No doubt worth it though. Might order my copy tonight or should I make that this morning for us Limeys
You won't regret it, I promise you that. It's absolutely everything I hoped it was going to be.... They didn't "change" it. It's still very much original Starcraft at heart. Just better graphics and some new units.
am going to wait, reckon it will be £15-20 in no time
I'm more excited about diablo3 which I think comes out a month after starcraft so saving my pennies for that instead altho if it's also overpriced will just wait
So I just discovered the most righteous feature of SC2..... It updates your solo campaign progress online, what does that mean? That means you can continuously play the campaign from multiple computers. I started on my desktop, played a few missions on my laptop, and then continued on my desktop where I left off from my laptop.
