Star Wars: Battlefront Release Date Listed

The trailer is in-engine footage, not necessarily game footage. Remember they like to spice up their pre-release videos using the engines in 'render' mode (cutscenes and the like) It looks good but I'll believe it when I see it running on my rig. There's simply no trusting Dice anymore.

It's not Dice. It's EA. Dice just do what they are told. They are pretty much at their mercy considering how much money EA has, plus they own them iirc.

so then it is dice?

The publisher tells the devs what to do. So while dice is doing it, its not because they want to. I'm sure they don't agree with everything they are being forced to do and time constraints forcing them to release buggy games.

Shame there's no space battles or single player campaign :(

So it's basically online only death matches, Great........

That trailer looks too much and I don't think it's actually the game unfortunately.

It was some time ago I was actually about DICE, I'm only about 25 min away with train hehe :p... their HQ in Stockholm is pretty sick :)

Get on the train and tell them to put a proper campaign and space battles in.

At least a campaign anyway as the other Battlefronts had campaigns and they were awesome.

This game just smells like a cash grab to me sadly and I for one will not be getting what seems to be a half arsed game just because EA said *Paraphrasing* "Campaigns and space combat don't feel right in a Star Wars game" :(

This part... this is the only and sore reason why DICE's games now a days ships with bugs and shit, EA are pushing them hard, pushing the deadline so badly that the game doesn't go through the testing team. They actually have a testing team which test the game for bugs etc, which they then fix before release. But ever since EA took over, this has been skimped, alot.

Fun part is that before EA took over, DICE's name were about the only logo on the building, and when EA took over, they have a small logo lol. They usually are, and it were, bigger.

I must need my Friggin head read i just pre ordered the deluxe version of this game $100Au

So you just paid $100Au for a Star Wars skinned Titan Fall albeit with even less of a campaign ?

I heavily facepalmed XD

This is why companies keep coming out with this old tripe with less and less features each gen because people keep buying it instead of voting with their wallets.

^ +1 on this... I made the mistake of paying £50 for Battlefield 3 Premium back in the days, my mates at the time came up with a back door, using different kind of methods to trick Origin into you lived in India and therefore got it away for about £5 or so.

I'd never pay that amount again for a game, that will be buggy as hell at launch, would actually surprise me if it didn't, considering how their games have been lately at release.

P.S. I am not sure at all if I broke any rules with this post or so, if I did, please edit it in order to correct it into the forum guidelines.

I know..I know but it's STARWARS If it had been BF5 or even 2152 I wouldn't have done it but it's STARWARS!! someone take me out the back and shoot me :D

I'm a massive star wars fan, I'll do it gladly.

You can't pre-order this stuff man, not with EA and Dice's rep.

a wiser guy than me once said, fear leads to hate.. you know the rest, im fearful, but i do hope.

let us pray for dice.

If it was not for Dice being involved I would pre-order this but with Dice being involved I just don't trust it to be playable for 6 months after release, and then I expect it to have issues like Battlefield 3 and 4 that are still present years after release.

I'm telling you... it's because of EA pushing the deadline and therefore the games does not go through the quality check team before release.

Dice is mostly owned by EA, it's all one and the same. EA is the monetary driving force behind them providing the marketing and hype. Dice just don't seem to deliver the proper finished, finalised, balanced, unbuggy products that we used to enjoy from them. Yes, that's largely EA's fault. But it's not entirely their fault. Dice don't fucking learn from their mistakes, or take the criticism from the people that actually play their games. That's the underlying issue.
