well im quite a tactical/offensive, shoot first ask questions later kind of person, so maybe some kind of fighter? bounty hunter sounds interesting
 
well for a fighter your not gonna get better than a hornet. whichever variant is personal preference.

the avenger is a dedicated bounty hunter ship
 
good choice :) did you just get the ship or the package because jus the ship you wont get access to the alpha or beta or anything...

got the game package, downloading the bits now, then ill have a good poke around, came to £88 most expensive game ive bought EVER

yh i know what you mean mate i started out with just the basic aurora package then i upgraded it to the legionnaire model and then i bought the freelancer too. i think ive spent just over £100 so far.

oh and did i mention both my ships have LTI... ;)

yh im pretty happy with it :)

yh that is really low... at 1080 im still getting 40-50 fps with my tahiti 7870...

EDIT:1440p... yh that might explain it lol
 
got to say though that the game is unplayable at a framerate lower than 100fps. the inputlag is just mad, but that's the case with any cryengine game. all that engine is good at is looking pretty.
 
yh but this is still massively pre-alpha and unoptimized.

hopefully it'll all be sorted out for release.

is anyone looking forward to S42? most people i know only seem to care about SC itself...
 
I get 30fps tops because the game isn't making good use of my cpu to the point where my gpu is getting dragged down. If its still unoptimised by dogfighting I'm getting some i7 4930k goodness (or whatever is the equivalent when something comes out ;D ). I've been after this game for so long now. I guess it is a good thing that it'll have both PhysX and Mantle support.

-edit- I AM on the highest settings.
