So as a few of us are now in Star Citizen I thought I'd start a thread so we can organize game nights or just share pics, Vids, Helpful info etc... maybe even eventually make an OC3D fleet.

I think we had a thread like this before way back in, oh 2014? xD

But since this is coming along a lot more compared to back then, a new one thread is better anyway, many of the members back then don't even post anymore.

I've always had a soft spot for the constellations, and a few years ago i did own the Phoenix, but when the rework came in i didn't feel it was worth the huge cost of it for the size and the luxury part was dissapointing in a number of ways, so i melted it and went with the carrack when it was still in concept price.

When the game is more finished and we will not be getting any more wipes to our accounts, i will probably get the entire constellation line up because i do love those ship designs.

I need to reinstall this. I guess the Framerates are still horrendous?

Any good starting guides around? as I have no clue where to begin

Mate frame rates are pretty bloody good now I get 90 on average at 3440x1440 ultra on a 3080, and if you play now you can via the website I think it is ask for a guide to help you do what it is you want to do, and in a couple of weeks hopefully is an amazing patch for 3.17.2 so yeah mate jump in now!

400i is an amazing ship Dicey I think you're gonna love it!
This is me and my mate in his 400i

Yeah it's a beautiful ship, I landed at Orison, Turned power off, Switched the camera to have a look externally and an NPC was walking, Stopped, Did a 90' turn and started looking at the ship, It may have just been a random NPC action but it looked like a "Oh damn that's a nice ship" type moment as you can see the NPC below :D

Yep very cool buddy!

When will they stop adding new stuff and fix the core problems :)

The team that's adding this type of stuff is not the same team implementing stuff like persistence, Server meshing, Gen 12 renderer etc... this is done by a small subset of a team as a bit of fun :)

I'm not going to argue and says that's not true, but if they are adding stuff that relies on current systems, does that not mean more work in the future that gets affected by new content and thereby extending the bug squashing and complexity process?

In my mind it would make more sense if they had all hands on deck fixing the game and then they wouldn't be where the are now. I also don't know their development environment but educated guess from the hearsay I see is it's seems mismanaged.

I'm not invested in the game at all, just my two cents. I could be entirely wrong and missing critical information.

From what I have read and heard on dev diary videos so far any of this silly stuff that is made is done as a side project for devs on their sort of down time so when they have down time they work on that, Fix bugs specifically to do with that.
