is now a good time? or should i wait a few months/weeks until theres the actual PvP stuff included?

you are in luck that they extended the amount of alpha keys. there are still 10k left, no idea how long they will last, but probably not till the dogfighting module hits.

everything that includes the alpha does include the dogfighting module

I've already spend about 100$ but Im eying up a starfarer, as I love the design/am more of a support role guy. Guessing it won't be cheap but whatever. Ok, it really won't be cheap. Here is the rough size:

Not even the biggest. The biggest cost around $1k on the original kickstarter. 1km long, I present to you the bengal class carrier.

This ship makes me dreaming! I spent $105 in two days, got the Aurora Mr+ package, then I saw the Origin 315 P, but I think I will stop here, or probably will buy some upgrade. All these ships are quite addictive.
