Star Citizen Thread

That bad? Based on some videos I watched it looks smashing. When it will get released is another question indeed.

It's mostly personal reasons why i dislike the game. Don't like the engine, don't like the release schedule, don't like the priorities and definitely don't like the dev team one bit.

I agree about the priories and release schedule. As I don't plan to be playing it as an FPS I don't care about most of the issues with the engine. Don't know/care about the dev team enough, although they are trying waaay too hard to be 'internet' from what I see.

If you manage to stick through one of their livestreams i'll be impressed. Same applies to Wingman's Hangar. Pure autism.

I had to read through a technical thread on their forum when my game broke, I don't want to know how far the circlejerk-rabbithole goes.
Also I've never seen Wingman's Hanger as it was obvious it was going to be the fedora tip to the RP community.

It is a bit of a mess out there regarding star citizen, i guess a lot of popularity and hype will do that, and to be a bit fair a lot of that hype came from us, the community!

Sure i have 2 very nice ships sitting in my hanger, and when the universe goes online i will be turning down any pvp sliders and avoid the community meta bullshit and just fly and explore on my own pace with the people i got on my friends list, or just host my own server with mods capability because that is allowed as well.

Thats pretty much what I've got planned as well. I own a ship built for exploring and thats exactly what I'll do.

That sounds epic, Can I haz it now ?! ^_^

I hope they release a demo to the public eventually, I don't want to spend money to try a game that's still in alpha/beta.

I might have to dust off the installer for this also, as it been a while since I played it, but at moment I too much into playing Far Cry 4.

seems like i wasted my time downloading ~30GB i know behind the scenes alot of work is going on

Edit: Cant even play it, fails to allocate memory

Surely i cant be running out of memory? :o
