im Just curious whats volts should i put up here,im running 3.6ghz Sync Mode 1:1 on air with XMS2 Corsair 800mhz ram and orthos does not get far, without having its first error and stopping,my cpu voltage is set to:1.40 volts and ram voltage:2.10, is there anything i should be changing here or does it even come down to Ram quality itself, could it just be impossible to get 3.6ghz stable in Sync mode? cheers.

Whats the Max stable your CPU gets?

3.6GHz is usually needing higher volts on those

3.6ghz is the max stable i can get it, where windows loads up...3.7 or 3.8,windows wont even start up, how much More should i up the voltage to? 1.45? or is that abit to Much. cheers

up it a bit to like 1.42, test orthos, if fails, increase some more.

what cpu heatsink do you have?

1.5v is prolly max on air and depending on your temps.

iv upped it to 1.45, and upped N.B to 1.45 volts to, iv got the Zalman cnps 9700 cpu Heatsink, as for temps, there always pretty low.

Okay Progress as of this stage is, iv Just run ORTHOS for 20 min, with cpu Voltage at 1.45 and N.B voltage at 1.45, it failed after the 20 min and rebooted the computer automatically...hmmm what next?

Latest progress: underclocked it back to 3.5ghz @ 1.45 cpu VOLTS and 1.45 N.B volts in Linked SYNC Mode 1:1, orthos has currently been running for 2 hours (error free), although i did get one warning on PC PROBE II,the warning was CPU VTT warning, iv ignored it, and everything seems steady still, max iv seen the temp rise to, was 46oC.perhaps i could get a stable O.C on 3.5

3.5 @ 1.45 would be a nice setting to keep.

when you say your temps are low, what are they?

low , well they would be at 19-24oC on Idol when i had the comp at 3.2ghz, so il see what temps il get @ 3.5 ghz

at load i think it use to hit 35-44oC...cant quiet remember.

Were you saying it was 35 - 44 at 3.2ghz though? If so it will be a bit higher now what with more volts and higher fsb.

it would be abit higher, thankfully this room is always cold lol...so temps should stay low..

Niiiiice temps... Are you using coretemp? If not, download the latest version and double check those temps!!!

If coretemp reports same temps, fair play mate!

ye il do that...whats a good program to test the CPU at full Load besides ORTHOS, in orthos you got to waite a while for it to finally hit the 40z well in my one i have to...is there any program that will stresss the CPU straight away, cheers.
