Spraying my ram heatsink

Hey guys,

I took off the ram fan from my dominator gt kit and re wired my comp so its neater, however the red heat sinks on them don't go with the rest of the board/case, can I unscrew them and spray them black or does it affect the heatsink in some way way, I don't see why it would

naw you should be fine ram sinks are more for decoration imho than anything else

Awesome i will do it tomorrow, have done all the cables again today, it looks much better but i stiil need to get some black extentions, which will be bitfenix most likely.

I see where I went wrong....

But yeah, would be fine, the important stuff is under the heatsink and looks the same as RAM did 10 years ago.

lol well I assumed the ram would be set aside he stated taking it apart. I meant dont spray the part that comes in contact with the ram chips lol

Done today, came up a treat, unscrewed each heatsink and gave them a couple of sprays in the garage. Will post pics on my rig gallery along with more tidy cables.
