Obvious thing to say, but clean your pc?

If its not that burnt circuit smell that everyone knows thats the only thing that I can think of. Is the dust heating up.

If its after a while, maybe it is something that isnt normally hot. But has the ability to after prolonged use.

run the pc in another room for a few hours see if the smell returns there then you can 100% solidly say its the pc

LOL, but not very helpful

The smell remains and I have cleaned the room completely, and I open the windows every morning for a few hours, which clears the smell. Then about an hour after they are closed the smell is back in full force.

I'm beginning to think there definitely is something in the roofspace causing this smell. My dad believes it may be bats urine which smells extremely bad, but I haven't had a proper chance to go up and have a good look about. Hopefully this will clear given time, otherwise I'll be moving out of my room

Do you have any animals (i.e. pets not necesarily bats) or neighbours pets that could have got in? You'd be surprised how bad a week old mouse smells when its hidden under a cupboard.

No pets, and neighbours don't have pets either. It is possible it's a mouse as I heard something running about up in the roofspace. I put poison down, and some of it has been eaten. I've been up once and had a quick look around but couldn't see anything or smell anything significant enough to lead me to believe that it was coming from there.

Do you have a hollowlike roof? You could also try removing some of the roof covering and checking out the insulation for tunnels or anything.
