Sony reveals its PlayStation 5 console

It does genuinely seem as big as(Bigger than?) my original Xbox yeah, which was essentially a full MATX PC.

Watched part of the stream last night and whilst it does look good, and the gameplay shown is probably Alpha or Beta, there were some Frame Drops that hopefully will be ironed out.

I don't especially like the look of either of the consoles be that the Xbox or PS but I could see the Xbox fitting in more within my setup that what looks like a black rectangle with some paper slapped on the side.

I will probably end up with both at some point though, and who knows if keyboard and mouse, as well as any hotas are available for the games I play I could seriously see myself looking at whether I want to deal with cheaters in the games I play on PC and switching to console.

looks like a carling beer pump.

Wait a year for the pro slim version, you know it's going to come

It's too big. Like, literally I have nowhere to put it.

The 1x needs the hard drive moving so I can put it where the games are, and a cinema amp is going where it is now.

Then it goes sub, speaker and NAS. On the other side there's a speaker and that's it.

If I could put it on its side and stack it? fair play. But they've made sure I can't do that, and that thing is huge.

TBH I think it was just a really bad decision. They are trying to make some sort of Alienware statement from 5 years ago. I don't even like the white. Not like I can just hide it behind the TV either.

Don't think they have much choice with the size to be fair, at least with them wanting to keep a sort of traditional shape. It's now clear Microsoft had to really innovate to even get the Fridge that small given the power of these consoles.

As long as it's quiet and reliable (no failures and longevity) I really couldn't care if it looks weird. Just wish they made it all black(or even a PlayStation blue would be interesting) so it would match pretty much everything else but oh well

A "smart" person would realize online connection is required for basically every game regardless of single or multiplayer.
Good luck with your disk getting to play

Not 100% true. That is up to the devs. Not Sony.

Some games WILL play without online certification.

I never said it's up to Sony. Your second statement proves my point. Most games require an online connection. Whether you download or use disc, if a game doesn't require an online connection you can still play. So getting the disc version does not benefit you for gaming applications. Which is what I was pointing out as well as Warchild

It will help you for watching offline content though and that's it.
