READ AND HELP! PLEASE! Something's Wrong With My Computer!

Hi, I'm new here and I have a major problem. My problem is that my computer is not working properly. When I play games my FPS is so low. This happened earlier today and I've tried quite a few things. I've tried to use an higher voltage on my CPU in case it was an unstable over clock, I've tried to set the speeds on my 5870 to default and I've tried to put all my BIOS settings back to default. None of these tries have worked so I have no idea what the problem can be. So can any of you help me?

My specs are:

i5-750 @ 4 GHz

5870

4GB Corsair Dominator @ 1607 MHz

EVGA Classified 200

What games do you have these problems with?

Haver you tried to update your drivers and such?

So far all I can come up with as a solution is a system restore back to an earlier date.

Are you folding on the GPU at the same time?

No I am not. I got nothing except the normal running. Does it exist viruses that does these sort of things? And even if it is, my Kaspersky haven't noticed anything.

I found out what the problem was. It was because I sat all the settings in CCC to the highest. I have no idea why that would kill my FPS, but it did. So it's all back to normal now. I was very nervous about this. :P

Setting the AA to high will do that.

Really? That doesn't make any sense because I had the same AA settings on the game. Will it double up then? Sounds silly, but that's the only reason I can think of. And these forums are very good. I hope they will become big. :D But I got some problems, though. I can't view images and I can't edit my profile even though I've posted more than five posts.

AA in the CCC will normally override any in-game settings iirc and you need a minimum of 15 posts mate :p.

Zak is right in both cases. You could always turn it off or for application preference. (God I miss my PC)

Yeah, he was. But it was strangle that it totally killed my FPS considering I had the same amount of AA and AF in the game(s). And I thought I had to have 5 posts, not 15. Well, I'll comment some more because I want to view the images in the lapping tutorial. :D xD
