Somehow reset the PS3 NAND?

Hi again OC3D!
I've been having a question for a while, and it started to bother me.
Do you guys think there is some way to reset the PS3 NAND to factory settings (and factory Firmware?). I want to install a CFW for homebrew applications (no multiman USB booter, so no real illegal stuff).
I would like to do this but don't want to pay the full $80 for a flasher.

Thanks, AverageNinja.
P.S. it would be nice if it was possible without opening the PS3, but I would dare to open it if needed though.

like all NANDs (flash drives) they need to be physically written to. the apps are out there to do it... you just have to look hard to find them *coughs*

i do know where to get it, and how to do it.... but, it is illegal. therefore i cannot divulge the info :(

i only know this as i am a registered PS3 developer

Oh ok then, I guess I'll just be nice to sony and stay stock ;)
Before this thread gets closed, one question: do you know anything against the heat of the ps3? Sometimes my ps3 powers off with three beeps and then I feel the back of the PS3. It's extremely hot! Do you have any tips? I do have the slim (not the ultra-slim new one) PS3. And yes, I know it's off-topic

heat is a problem most ps3's have.

it probably needs a clean - use a vacuum cleaner on the vents (but not the bluray player)

It actually says in the users manual to vacuum the vents every now again, show most of us just ignore them haha :D
