Some Sugestions and help tips for watercooling kit

Hi guys,

Since I already bought pretty much everything I wanted to my PC, I started thinking on modding and with that I decided to go and get a water cooling kit because it looks awesome and because is silence at a good overclock.

I'm completly new to it and there is many stuff I still dont know and that is why I decided to came here and request your help and tips.

I have a HAF-X case and I havent measured the space I have on the top but I wanted to have a 360 Rad, with something around 50mm tick with 2 BITFENIX SPECTRE PRO BLUE LED (200MM)fans on top and another 3 x 120mm fans pushing.

The reason Im going for the 200mm on top is not that much for performance wise but more for aesthetics, because the HAF-X have those 2 spots for 200mm fans and with 120mm looks a bit weird.

For pump I notice that people love the SWIFTECH MCP655 with speed controler but I was wondering if it would be a bit overkill for the system. But I want to pass by CPU, Chipset and 1 Graphic card if possible. The graphic card I have now is a 560Ti so I wont be watercooling it, I want is to watercool a future graphic card, probably something at the level of a EVGA 580 watercooled at the time I change it. For now I will only be cooling CPU and chipset.

So the parts Im realy confused about is reservoir, connectors, coolant, tubing.

To resume, my specs are:

intel i7 970

Haf-X case

Asus P6x58D-E

and Evga 560ti (that wont be watercooled)

I would like to watercool CPU, chipset for now and a single graphic card in the future.

What I was thinking so far was a full size 360 rad (if I can fit it in my case) with the SWIFTECH MCP655 (but this pump is a bit expensive)

I dont have that much money so (between 250/300€) , what do you guys sugest??

Thanks a lot everyone,

Ralm

The HafX wont support a thick 360 with that mobo in push/pull.Ram slots are too high located on mobo. But if you can live with only a 3x120mm pull config a 360/60mm thick rad will fit in.

yeah I went and measure it and I have 70mm/80 TOPS until it reaches the motherboard + the top side for the fans. That sucks =S

There isnt 40mm rads? is a big diference on performance?

If you`re planning to wc the gpu in near future, youll need a thick 60mm rad.

Only pull config will only give you a few degree higher temps.Should you chose soo, high pressure fans will be needed.

I was thinking on something like the Noctua NF-P12 which for what noctua says about them, they are good for radiators and are silent(or almost). I dont realy know. Maybe I do just that, have pull config and have a thick rad and add some lights on top for aesthetics.

I will take it easy on this matter.

What about the other parts?
