Some more M/B feedback =D

Well my vote goes against the motherboard. Chaintech have been known for some lame ass motherboards :(

Look at DFI, Asus, EpoX, MSI or Abit for the board. Possibly also the Sapphire board when they're out. Also the SLi Jetway board seems to be damn good.

I would say the DFI Ultra-D

Memory spreaders aren't really worth it tbh: but a lot of name brands put them on.

Arctic Silver 5 is the stuff you want to buy - its the best. :)

I'm with Kempez.

You'll be very lucky to get any kind of decent overclock out of that Chaintac!

Chaintech sucks. Thermal paste makes difference and arctic silver 5 is the best out there. IMHO i think heatspreaders may increase a 5mhz overclock on the ram because of less heat (it worked with me).

Actually. Chaintech is very good for stock systems but suck ass in overclocking and features.

Your best bet would be is to get any of the dfi boards if you want the best overclocking options and support. Otherwise, mobo's from Asus, Msi etc etc are very good aswell.

And get Arctic cilver 5. Best stuff out there:)

Yes...very good for stock ^^.

I'd get the JetWay SLi board, it overclock's just as good as teh DFI, for $40 less :).

Most of the good ram out there , gskill being the exception , come with heatspreaders. Now mushkins came out with new heatspreaders and thats what i have on my redlines and they are working pretty good for me. I have a 92 mm enermax silent fan on them and they run absolutely fine . Removing heatspreaders voids the warranty , as we all know.

Motherboard = wait for a month or so. DFI is coming out with a better revision for its nf4 series and its ati board is almost ready. I suggest u buy the grouper when it comes out. Performancewise , they are both almost the same , but grouper looks cooler and has a better mosfet cooling option and doesnt need the jumper to switch voltage rails that the dfi does meaning no more cold boot issues :D .

Memory : I suggest getting either the mushkin redline pc3500/pc4000 , geil one bh5 ( warrantied upto 3.8v ) , OCZ VX PC4000 or gskill GH series ( cheapest of all i think ) . All use winbond , ocz and mushkins use ch5-utt and gskill and geil use bh5-utt. CH5-utt scales better with voltage than the bh5 but YMMV.

Yep, Rev B of the board will feature the same layout as the crossfire board, and instead of a Molex, Floppy, and the Standard Connectors, it will feature an ATX 24pin plug, and an 8 pin EPS plug.

You can pick up a molex to four pin converter off the internet, and just plug in 2x 4pin, cuz thats what an eps plug is essentially. :)

Along with what |3ourne said, this board is featuring lots of new stuff.

I also heard they may be adjusting the spacing between teh cards :o.

EDIT: Just smack down a few $/£ for one of these babies.

EDIT2: Or save your precious molez and get this.

w/e you prefer.

i would rather spend the extra $40 and get something that looks half desent :o

If you're willing to waste $40 cuz you're arsed about teh colours, go right ahead. I'll keep that $40 and put it towards a better cpu, ram, or gfx card, and pwnz0r your arse :).

Mmmmmmmm lanparty nf4 rev. b

yeah i was right it improves spacing between the pci-e slots also.

and u can see the 8pin eps plug above the atx one :D

that ati looks like jizz and blood LOL.

sick minded yes, but hey..

EDIT: aye Eguy, there's your, countem, one, two, tree pci slots.
