I know it is DDR2 memory and the clock is 2.4 Ghz, but I have a 3.0 Ghz Dual core E5200... Would the quad core be good for gaming, or would it really not be much of a step ahead.. What do you guys think?

for some stuff it would be a step down and for others the extra cores will put it ahead but what i want to know is why are you not just geting a q6600 or such instead?

im sure you could get a 775 quad for less than a full bundle :|

Would like to see the break down of the rig currently tbh.

Spending cash to go sideways may be a futility, and yet with what you already have in the rig, there could be some bonuses to be had.

I do have a 775 Socket Mainboard right now, so I might just buy an Intel quad core rofl.. Silly me.. Thank you guys!
