Since I purchased my HAF, I have been trying to come up with some Ideas for a filter for these HUGE fans. I didn't like the pantyhose solution for some reason but may end up with that because I can get the color I want.
Today, I found a couple more things that may work. For $2 US, I bought 2 paint filters for 1 gallon cans. They are much the same material of pantyhose except the material is white. I tried to stretch this over the cowl of the fan but it was too small of a diameter. I'm going to use these but just using the normal width of the piece and secure it with a rubber band or cable tie.
The second thing I came up with but have not purchased yet is a room air conditioner filter. These are usually made of open cell poly and are about 6.35mm thick.
I will post up some picts in a couple of days.
Has anyone else come up with a solution for a filter for these fans???
