Solder Point Damage

Hello everyone,

I took my Msi PE/OS HD6950 out for cleaning today and I noticed an inconsistency on one of the solder points.

What do you guys think this is from
-I checked the top of the capacitor; doesn't look popped
-All the other solder points are the same except this one.
-The area around the Solder Point seems to come off, I picked at it ever so little.

Is it still under warranty?
If so, contact MSI and see if you can get it replaced

I processed the RMA I just need to send it.

I have a co-worker who just did an Msi RMA, he said it took 2-3 weeks. It made me a little uneasy at that much time, I did one with Intel; I sent it Thursday around 2pm and got it on Tuesday the next week.

Maybe someone in the US will have Node 304's in stock by the time I get it back.

Take the RMA, don't take any risk.

Looks like flux to me. It will have been there since it was manufactured.

So I got my RMA back today... Yay, but 30 minutes later its dead.... How awesome. I got artifacts, with a driver crash. About 10 minutes after that my PC crashed and would display video in any PCIE slots... great
