Socket A kit included?

So I recieved my second hand (Chip-Con) Prometia Mach II with a Socket A kit and Panaflo Fans :)

I'm gonna leave her for 12 Hours.

What should be included in the Soc A kit?

As far as I can see the springs are missing.

Any pics?

And the evaporator copper head look a little to small for AMD64 IHS?

There should be: a metal clip that holds onto the HSF retention, a plastic ractangular surround, a backplate with heater, some Seal String, 2 hex bolts with springs, a rubber grommit each and washers. Think thats it??

The Evap head is smaller than the CPU IHS, yes but the CPU core is a lot smaller than the IHS...the Evap head will cover the core area fine :)

Thanks :)

2 hex bolts with springs, 2 rubber grommit are missing.

I got some other skrews with no springs.

The hex bolts are for the head attachment to the socket clip.

Is that all you got or did you get the back plate, plastic socket rim and socket clamp thing aswell??

Please tell me you did get these cos those fixings are completely useless without them lol. I'm not completely sure if the grommets are actually needed for a big purpose. May be wrong there but I have run my GT once without them with no trouble.

Could probly sort that out for you if you need them. If I can find the kit lol.

I got:

1 metal clip with skrewholes, 6 washers and 2 skrews( no hexbolts with springs)

1 plastic ractangular surround,

1 plastic backplate with heater

seal string.

Something worse I discovered then I opened the Mach II:

Some of the surrounding insulation is broken.

Here it is 2,5cm long.

That is not a problem you may get ice forming there you may not all it will do is cause a small pool of water when it heats up thats it if you are realy bothered get some armaflex tape to cover it

Fatty: Thanks :)
