I signed up to the forum a minute ago just to say that you are correct, this competition is open to all readers of Overclock3d.net whether they're forum-goers or not. I for one applaud this decision seeing as not all of us (regulars of the site) are able or willing to contribute on the 'social media' that are forums. Count me in the latter!

As to participation, I guess that time is a factor for many, and I have lots of it since I retired. I've only become truly active on 3 forums ever. I still belong to all of them and participate regularly. As long as it's interesting, and not a constant flame war, and lots of knowledge is there for me to learn, then I'm hooked. If you sit back and read these boards for a while, you'll find that this is a good place to spend some time.

The fact I got to go out and repair this guy's computer is a massive downer for my day.

Even more so for the fact he want's to haggle with you about the price even though my standard fee is UNGODLY LOW.

Hence the reason why I dread going over to repair there computer.

And the Long distance tech support I am doing for my Fiancee's sister.

Tell Him that your fee is for a 'Service Call' because YOUR time is valuable, and it's due before you start. If he refuses, just leave.

He'll come around once he gets a taste of other Tech's fees, and if he doesn't then do YOU really need the BS from this guy?

I quit tolerating unreasonable BS from customers long ago, but I do guarantee results or I don't charge them at all,.....

actualy the aprentice matched the wrong colour, it was supposed to be black, so, they toss'd it in the bin and Mr.Strawberry raided their skip, re-packaged it and voila!
