I would have thought gold was higher from what i've heard and read, but if that's the case very well. Still a decent thermal conductor despite it's brightness though.

I've seen reviews on that thing and it's pretty impressive.

Only the hexacore IIRC so long since i watched the vids. The other ones have what Tom said was from a branch of noctua (can't remember the name, DOH!)

Noctua heatsink

I've seen reviews on that thing and it's pretty impressive.

What is everyone's thought of that?

I've never used one of them before, but I've heard that they're quite good. One thing for sure is that they're huge. I wonder what level of noise you get with those fans that were used? What amount of air do they move and do they develop a lot of static air pressure?

I've used Zalman coolers in the past, and have a Corsair H50 now.

I'm using Enermax Magma UC-MA12 Case Fans because they rotate at 1500 RPM, with 69.15 CFM of air flow, and with a Noise Level of only 18 dBA. With a pronounced hearing loss due to years of Aircraft and Jet Engine proximity it doesn't matter much to me how loud the PC is, but my wife has ears like a Bat and she likes what I've done to quiet it down for her sake.
