Why is everyone moaning that the winners haven't been announced?.. You've gotta understand that Tom and the rest of the team are extremely busy most of the time especially with all the new boards, CPUs, cases etc. etc. and then theres maintaining the website as well.. So jus be patient =]

They likely made samples in different colours before they decided which one to market. Tom probably scooped himself one of those samples/ prototypes for the comp

Crysis does excellent. Crytek is like Messiah to gaming. Many question the code. It's old now and in many ways produces more than Metro 2033 PATH engine

Well Tom is obviously good at his job and the manufacturers of the products clearly recognise this, and due to the fact that overclock3d.net and ts youtube channel are rather well known you would think that they would jump at the opportunity to get some unique, limited edition products out there.

Just putting together the parts supplied for three fine systems took a lot of wrangling with manufacturers I'm sure. But he actually talked them into building a product (that Mushkin RAM) that according to the three videos, is not gonna be offered for sale anywhere.

It's just for this promotion and giveaway. He obviously has their ears and a lot of influence with them as well.

Maybe he should wear a Wizard's Cap for his next broadcast,...........

I really like that all 3 of the rigs, although they are pretty top grade, still have plenty of room for even more components. Any one of those would do me fine for many years.

Well i'm guessing the white RAM is a two way thing, Tom gets custom white RAM and Mushkin gets publicity. It's good business on both parts Tom and Mushkin both get something out of it and three lucky people end up with unique custom white Mushkin RAM.

Definietly, thats where the good business sense comes in, Mushkin has a niche in the market with custom white RAM and Tom would get rewarded for it. The Tom and Mushkin relationship would then blossom which improves the chances of more exclusives for OC3D in the future, which is a good thing

I don't think Mushkin will put white ram into production because white isn't ecxactly the best colour to get rid of heat. It is in fact one of the worste. Take a look at snow for example, we've had a bit of that lately. It reflects heat, it doesn't absorb it, otherwise it would melt.

Black is the best colour to conduct heat followed by all the other dark colours respectively

I actually think it's quite funny seeing people getting so worked up about it

that along with people you never saw until the competition ended who started to pop up out of the wood work and all of a sudden are everywhere

I want to see Tom drag it out as long as possible
